Krukas & Vicario is investigating reports that certain Volkswagen vehicles may experience a recurring defect affecting hands-free telephone calls made using Bluetooth or Apple CarPlay.
Owners have reported that individuals on the other end of a call hear a noticeable echo, feedback, or repetition of their own voice during conversations. In many cases, owners report that the condition persists despite software updates, multiple repair attempts, or replacement of infotainment-related components.
We are seeking information from owners who have experienced this issue in order to better understand:
- Which Volkswagen models and model years may be affected;
- How frequently the issue occurs;
- Whether dealerships have been able to repair the condition;
- Whether Volkswagen has issued any technical guidance regarding the issue; and
- Whether owners have incurred inconvenience or other losses as a result.
We Would Like to Hear From You
If you own or lease a Volkswagen vehicle and have experienced a persistent echo or feedback problem during hands-free phone calls, we invite you to contact our office.
When contacting us, it is helpful if you can provide:
- Vehicle model and model year;
- Approximate mileage;
- Whether you primarily use Bluetooth or Apple CarPlay;
- Copies of dealership repair orders or service records relating to the issue; and
